Our History

The group was founded in 1935 by Dr Harold Starr, who was later joined by Dr Pope Holliday. The practice has changed over the years, but has always been led by well-trained, caring physicians focused on maintaining the highest standards of care for the children of the Chattanooga area. Drs Gary Meredith, Max Bryant, Peter Rawlings, Josh Smith, Beth Carter, and Virginia Rodgers have all dedicated their careers to PDA, and are now enjoying well-earned retirement. The current physician partners are honored to have worked alongside and learned from some great pediatricians!
