Pediatric Diagnostic Associates - Dr. Blaine Eggemeyer

Dr. Blaine Eggemeyer joined Pediatric Diagnostic Associates in September 2026. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine – Chattanooga after completing his first year of training at the University of Oklahoma – Tulsa. He has experience caring for children and families throughout the Chattanooga community.

Dr. Eggemeyer believes in getting to know each child as an individual, building trusting relationships with families, and helping children grow into healthy, confident young people. His previous experience as a middle and high school teacher and coach has shaped his approach to connecting with children. He enjoys learning about each child’s interests and using those connections to build trust and make visits to the doctor a positive experience.

During residency, Dr. Eggemeyer participated in several initiatives to improve pediatric care, including a project to improve the efficiency and quality of 9-month well-child visits and the development of a sensory toolkit to make emergency department visits more comfortable for children with autism. He also served on pediatric hospital committees and participated in mentoring and recruiting future pediatricians.

Community service has long been important to Dr. Eggemeyer. He has volunteered with local schools, youth sports programs, and community organizations, provided sports physicals for student-athletes, and coached youth basketball and volleyball. Before pursuing medicine, he taught middle and high school in his hometown in Missouri, where he developed a strong appreciation for the impact educators and mentors can have on children and families.

Outside of the office, Dr. Eggemeyer enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their two Australian Shepherds. A former four-sport high school athlete and collegiate football player, he maintains a strong interest in athletics, youth sports, and fitness. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, golfing, disc golf, reading fiction, and playing video games. He is also actively involved in youth and children’s ministries at his church, reflecting his commitment to service and caring for others.
